Several years ago I had the opportunity to work for one of the Volkswagen brand in Monterrey, Mexico. This was back when most of the people in Mexico had 800×600 pixel screens, and when Flash was just coming out as one of the most popular animation tools for web.

Saving or Braking the Software

Today many companies have to modernize their systems and software to not get out of business. However, business owners should be careful because the software or equipment has high cost and it may do the job that the company requires. When this happens the company is loosing money. On one hand, companies have to look for the software that covers all their requirements. On the other hand, Software developers have to make sure who their target is. We can see how there are some software developers that have their target very well defined, such as Adobe. Adobe has been defined as an art software development company by many designers. With this we can se how adobe can plan, design and analyze their products very carefully. Adobe knows who their customers are, so adobe can test their products with people that are really going to use it. Looking at Adobe, we can say that this company may be a good example for other software companies that do not have a defined target so their products may not work as well as they should. This situation may cost a great deal of money for companies because when the final products are not good enough, the company that made it have to give more support for its software. One of the biggest examples of this may be Windows Vista. The idea of windows to change their visual appearance is very good; Windows vista has very good graphic design: however the performance of this operative system is not as good as it should be. As a customer, when I got my new pc with Vista preinstalled in my computer I was exited to use the new system, but when I tried it I got desperate because I had to download a lot of updates for my new computer. How come a brand new operative system makes you want to go to the old version? This is what happened with Microsoft, and now they may be loosing a lot of money because they still have to work with windows xp and vista; plus Microsoft has to work a lot in order to make work their new product.
